The guy called the girl he love who is getting married tomorrow, but the groom isn't him.
Guy: I was once so afraid that you couldn't get married and be left on the shelf for life. But I guess not because you're going to get married tomorrow. And I'm really happy for you. (Tearing away) I'm sorry I can't attend your wedding tomorrow, because I'm flying off to Japan. I wish you the best and for you to be happy with him.
Bye.
Time and sunlight stripped the colours of the playground over the decade.
So has the colours of my life.
Days of winter have been lingering for so long,
When a moment of summer comes along,
It felt so strange
And just when we started to realise the joys of summer,
Winter comes back to haunt
And there, we are back in the winter that longs for the summer again
(I’m running errands for my pregnant wife. While walking to a nearby store, I see two teenagers harassing a child that is only four or five years old. I shoo them away from the boy, and he introduces himself.)
Me: “So, where’s your mom at?”
Boy: “She’s in the store. Do you have kids?”
Me: “Not yet. We’re expecting a baby girl soon, though.”
Boy: “Well, she’s going to turn out nice, like you! So, I’m going to marry her someday!”
(I laugh, and play along while I bring him to the service desk, and wait until his mom picks him up. Six years later, my daughter comes home from school and introduces us to a friend that defended her against a bully on the playground. I didn’t recognize him, but he certainly knew who I was!)
